CryptoOracle Introduces Risk Monitor: A Real-Time Position Risk Score That Tells Traders When a Trade Is No Longer Worth Keeping

CryptoOracle Risk Monitor — position risk score X

New deterministic risk engine scores every open position against four hard limits — concentration, recoverability, liquidation distance, and carried loss — and prescribes the exact cut when the math stops working.

August 15, 2026 — Datapipesoft today released Risk Monitor, a new analysis view in the CryptoOracle trading platform that continuously evaluates open derivatives positions and answers the question every trader eventually faces mid-drawdown: is this position still tradeable, or is holding it just hope?

At the core of the feature is the position score X — a single number computed as the worst of four independent risk ratios, each measured against a hard limit:

  • Concentration — how much of the account’s equity the position’s margin occupies
  • Recoverability — how many hedge-harvest cycles it would take to digest the losing leg at current settings
  • Ruin distance — the liquidation buffer measured in units of the instrument’s own recent hourly range, so a “safe” 40% buffer on a coin printing 80% hourly bars is correctly flagged as unsafe
  • Carried loss — unrealized book loss as a share of equity

Scores map to four zones — trade freely, no new adds, reduce, close — and when the losing leg is the binding problem, the engine goes one step further than an alert: it prescribes the exact fraction of the leg to close now, with the realized cost stated up front, so the trader compares a known price against an open-ended grind.

The new view, opened in one click from any exchange monitoring table, also includes a margin exposure bar showing hedged, unhedged, and free margin across all open positions — with a hedge-on-demand line marking whether enough free margin remains to fully neutralize every position at once — plus per-split tables with live PnL, locked-in stop-loss values, and one-click split closing.

The release also upgrades the platform’s strategy economics tooling: the PARTIAL_CLOSE settings dialog now shows per-cycle profitability for long and short sides independently — each with its own stop-loss lock-in and leverage — under deliberately pessimistic fee accounting, so a configuration that only looks profitable before fees is flagged in red before it trades a single cycle.

The scoring model was calibrated on real incident data and is fully deterministic — no black box: every component displays its current reading, its limit, and the arithmetic behind it. Risk Monitor is available today for all supported exchanges — Bybit, MEXC, Capital.com, Kraken, and Hyperliquid — at oracle.datapipesoft.com.
