CryptoOracle adds a Lab tab: the odds of the move you are waiting for

Warsaw, Poland — 4 October 2026

CryptoOracle today reorganised the Symbol Lab into four tabs — Chart, Positions, Lab and AI Assistant — and shipped the one the name was waiting for. The new Lab tab turns any price you pick on the chart into odds: how likely the market is to move 5, 10 or 30 % from there within an hour, a day, a week or a month, and in which direction.

The question behind it is the one every entry starts with. Not where is the price, but will it go anywhere from here, how far, and how soon. Until now the answer lived in the trader’s head. The Lab tab counts it.

How it works

Open a symbol and the Lab shows its chart on the left and three tables on the right. Each table is amplitude by window: rows are moves of 5, 10 and 30 % (scaled to the asset — a currency pair gets 0.5, 1 and 2 %, a hot perpetual 5, 20 and 50), columns run from one hour to three months. A cell is the share of past windows in which the price touched that move. One table counts a move in either direction, one counts only upward touches, one only downward.

The tables are not about the asset in general. They are about the price you point at. Click a candle and its mid price becomes the reference; drag the dashed blue line anywhere inside that candle, or type a level. Every number then recomputes over the historical moments when the symbol traded near that level. A stock at its all-time high and the same stock after a 30 % drop are different places, and the tables say so.

  • Any / up / down — three tables, because “it will move” and “it will fall” are different trades.
  • first — the median time to the first touch of each amplitude, so a 0.47 in the one-month column comes with “typically 31 days”.
  • typical — the median largest move inside each window. If the typical monthly move is 19 %, a cell at 20 % is by construction near 0.5, and the row tells you why.
  • n — how many same-level windows stand behind the column. Cells resting on fewer than thirty are dimmed rather than hidden.
  • Honest windows — a month is a calendar month, not thirty trading bars, and a window cut off by today’s date still counts if the move already happened in it. Last week’s breakout is in the odds, not thrown away because its month is not over.
  • Two deltas on hover — the label on the chart shows the distance from the candle under the cursor and from the current price at once.

Below the tables, Position in history places the reference against the loaded history (distance to the high and low, z-score versus the last thirty days), and Amplitude profile shows how big an hourly, four-hour and daily bar typically is at that level, with the share of idle bars.

What the numbers taught us

Two findings from building the Lab changed how we read it. The first is that for bounded assets the level shows up in direction, not in size. VIX at 19 and VIX at 30 move by a similar percentage over a week; what changes at 30 is that the move leans down (0.60 down against 0.42 up over a week, and a 20 % fall is near certain over three months). “VIX cannot stay at 30” is true as “VIX at 30 goes down”, not as “VIX at 30 moves more”. Hence three tables instead of one.

The second is that intuition anchors on the loud episodes. A semiconductor stock that fell 28 % in July and rallied 35 % in September feels like a “20 % a month, easily” name. Counted over every month at that level, the odds of a 20 % touch inside a calendar month are 0.47 — because the quiet stretches between the episodes moved 12 to 17 % and are the half nobody remembers. The typical row exists so that the table can be read against the asset’s own scale instead of a round number.

The four tabs

  • Chart — the price chart, now full height, with the position, split and deferred-order overlays and the one-click deferred entries.
  • Positions — the split and deferred-split books, unchanged.
  • Lab — the move-probability tables described above.
  • AI Assistant — the persistent per-symbol chat: /ma-check, /risk-check, /ai-check and the consultant, with the timeline of every past run.
